About me
Melissa Williams is an instructional designer who supports Open Educational Resource (OER) development and co-facilitates Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) that promote equitable teaching and learning across the colleges and universities of Minnesota State. Her Ph.D. in American Studies and experience teaching media and culture courses, across a variety of Twin Cities higher education institutions, inform her perspective on culturally-responsive teaching, accessible and equitable use of educational technologies, and research-based learning design. When she isn't geeking out over learning science research, Melissa can be found in the kitchen experimenting with vegetarian cooking, on the couch watching yet another documentary, or out and about exploring her beloved Twin Cities.
