The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is a nonpartisan, private charitable foundation that invests in creative thinkers and problem solvers working to ensure that people, communities, and the planet can flourish. Its Education program is focused on providing meaningful educational opportunities that equip students to shape the world they live in. That includes access to both the deeper learning that open education enables and the community of participation and sharing it creates across classrooms. Today, the organization supports projects that develop effective pedagogy alongside open resources, build capacity for education systems to implement OER, and support the OER field in being responsive to diverse educators and learners.
