Biographical Summary
Dr. Bob currently directs a state-wide open educational resources and learning outcomes assessment program at the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. The mission of the open educational resources initiative is to increase the utilization of open educational resources across public higher education in Massachusetts. This effort involves working with a statewide organization representing 29 public institutions of higher education in areas such as marketing & education, professional development, student outreach, course marking and expanding our current repository. The mission of the learning outcomes assessment program is to advance and deepen the culture of assessment throughout public higher education in Massachusetts and increase student learning outcomes. Bob also serves as a visiting professor and program coordinator and advisor for the Master's in Human Resources program at Framingham State University. In this role, he teaches Business Ethics; Theories of Managing Organizations; and Seminar in Human Resource Management, the capstone course for the program. Bob is also a tenured professor of business administration (currently on leave) at Middlesex Community College.
Prior to his roles in higher education, Bob enjoyed progressive, diverse and successful human resources management and organizational effectiveness consulting experiences in varied industries including retail, manufacturing, high technology, professional services, healthcare and non-profits.
Finally, Bob was graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and a M.S. in Economic Policy & Planning from Northeastern University; a M.Ed. in Human Resources Development from Boston University; and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
