About me
As a Professor of Biology and student advocate for many years, I found my way to Open Education which I see as especially powerful for helping to bring about much needed larger-scale change in higher education. I am a Fellow for the RIOS (Racially Just, Inclusive and Open Stem Education) Institute, and the Director of Every Learner Everywhere, a network of organizations with a mission to help institutions use digital learning practices to innovate teaching and learning and better serve Black, Latino, and Indigenous students, poverty-affected students, and first-generation students.
